To maintain visitor safety, red routes will be in operation around the airport site. If you see areas designated as red routes, please be aware that you are not allowed to stop, unload, wait or park. If you are dropping off passengers, please use the drop off zones or the free option in our long stay car parks.
Red routes are clearly marked around the airport roads with signage and double red line road markings. London Gatwick operates a vehicle monitoring and enforcement operation. Any vehicle seen contravening the Red Route restrictions will face an enforcement charge of £100 (reduced to £60 if paid within 14 days).

London Gatwick has become the first international airport to open an Electric Forecourt®, a dedicated electric vehicle (EV) charging station.
The site has 30 high-power and low-power electric vehicle chargers available via contactless payment - alongside high-speed Wi-Fi, a lounge area, Costa Coffee and Little Fresh convenience store. All charging bays are powered by 100% net zero energy, with the fastest chargers capable of adding up to 100 miles of range in 10 minutes.
The Electric Forecourt® is located on the Ring Road South approach to London Gatwick’s South Terminal. The building is open every day from 4:30am to 10:00pm, with chargers available 24/7 year-round.
Charging whilst away
For those who wish to charge their car while away on your travels, there are eight 22kW charging points in our North and South Terminal Short Stay car parks. In the North Terminal, you can find them in Car Park 5, Level 3 and Car Park 3, Level 1 in the South Terminal.
EV charging can also be booked for a small fee when you book our Valet Parking at either terminal. We can provide a two hour charge duration on our Type 2 (22kW) fast chargers, delivering up to 44kWh.
