Our goals
Our goal is to play our part in the ground transport transition to net zero.
As part of this, we want to increase airport and staff use of public transport and zero and ultra-low emission journey modes. This forms part of our sustainability policy - Our second Decade of Change to 2030 policy
Our Surface Access Strategy sets out our plan for sustainable access to and from the airport.
Surface Access Strategy
Our car park strategy plans on-airport parking levels for future demand.
Interim car park strategy
Our train station has been upgraded to create more space for our passengers, an easier journey from the train to the plane and improved accessibility. It also helps to support a more reliable train service.

In 2024, we became the first international airport to open an Electric Forecourt® - a dedicated electric vehicle charging station. With 30 high-power and low-power electric vehicle chargers, the facility is ideal for passengers, staff, local residents, commuters and business fleets.
